The success of WorldSkills UK’s large-scale national events depends on a diverse and enthusiastic volunteer workforce. The primary challenge is ensuring every volunteer, regardless of their prior experience, is fully equipped to provide a seamless, safe, and positive experience for all visitors. This requires a standardized and scalable training solution to orient them to the event’s complex layout, key zones, and their specific responsibilities.
The solution
A blended mix of digital learning and videos that help volunteers to:
- Orient themselves to the event environment by familiarising them with the physical layout and the purpose of the different event zones
- Understand their role and responsibilities throughout the event lifecycle with clear guidance on what to do before, during, and after the event
- Deliver an exceptional visitor experience by equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to answer questions and provide assistance
- Act as knowledgeable and effective ambassadors for the WorldSkills UK brand
